When will You Going to Understand that Hold em Poker is About Seating!
I have been betting poker now for about five years, I’ve wagered cards my entire life beginning with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various types of Brag and basic random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so eloquently called, card on head casino game. I used to always win, whatever game we were betting and although I liked to call it skill, it was very difficult to warrant thinking about the randomness of the games we were wagering, so I was happy to accept I was having a long-term run of luck.
Then came Poker, or more importantly Texas hold’em Poker, made popular by a bunch of Texas card gamblers in the sixties and since grown into one of the largest card phenomena ever experienced. Poker is totally the new black, it is ultra awesome with several of the world’s leading super stars racing to have their name connected with it. Just a quick scan through the TV channels these days and you can not escape from poker, and of course there’s the fabled WSOP, the Holy Grail and Mecca all combined into one for every single gambler.
So with all of this fresh discovered popularity, with so many Television shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with quality material written by the top minds on poker, when are folks going to learn that this game is all about position!?
Perhaps I really should not acquire so worked up about this, after all the a lot more people who have difficulty with the delicate techniques and strategies needed for succeeding regularly at Hold’em, the far better it is for everyone else, proper? I mean, if they can not be troubled to read all of the available info about why placement is so crucial, why need to we bother? We should just be glad there is an additional fish at the table!
It’s true, we really should not reward inactivity with guidance and help. On the other hand, I liken this to a friendly game of football.
