Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier declares "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other gamblers are given five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you must in turn make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including a figure equal to the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays money equal to your ante and fixed expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
