Four of Poker’s Great Guys
Literally huge amounts of people strive to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more noteworthy "charming players" of the game. Granted "nice" is connected with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the competition!
Daniel Negreanu
In Two Thousand and Four, his competition earnings amounted to more than 4.4 million dollars and he won two immensely respected awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Competition Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel even still has the humility to speak to his admirers about how they will be able to boost their own game.
Howard Lederer
Referred to as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His achievements have allowed him to make an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings exceed $2.7 million.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is one of the busiest players in poker and between 2000 and 2004 he finished in the money in well over one hundred tournaments. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker games and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when referring to a exceptionally bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are almost six million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has captured five World Series of Poker titles with two of his wins coming in 2003. Has the nickname "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, and is able to throw cards quick enough to slice through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total poker tournament winnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
