Have you noticed the new PokerPro texas hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks ago when I took a quick getaway with my mom to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.

As I anxiously waited for my turn to be called at the live tables, I observed how the other individuals at the PokerPro tables interface with one another. It was fairly fascinating to say the very least. Because the poker table was computer powered, there have been no poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the real live experience was stale. Perhaps I was the only one that recognized this, but I did observe the gamblers at the table had a dull high quality to them. The reason behind this may possibly be since there was no human conversation with the croupier, the ambiance was rather boring and the gamblers looked bored to death. It was nearly as if I was seeing a live variation of an internet based texas hold’em poker room rather than sitting with hot blooded humans. It was a little freaky and I kept flashing back to an episode of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the stay tables for more than an hour, I decided to see how the game action was and to understanding this new texas holdem poker gaming technology. Following betting a couple of hands, I genuinely felt like I was betting at home. The lack of activity on the table was the primary reason. I like to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those items are feasible at these computer tables.

An additional thing I discovered was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I wagered a lot of hands in the PokerPro table and discovered that the wager on was a whole lot like an internet texas hold’em poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, but I found it to become really odd.

Right after betting a couple of rounds with this "unique hold em poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m much better off playing hold’em poker on the web at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling house have been to get rid of the live poker tables, I think they’d loose a lot of players.
