Literally millions and millions of people strive to be the next "big thing" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more well known "charming pros" of the game. Although "nice" is connected with their names when you are at a poker table it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his competition payouts amounted to in the region of $4.4 million and he came away with two highly admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He still has the decency to speak with his fans about how they might improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Referred to as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His success has allowed him to make an instructional video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is one of the busiest players in poker and from Two Thousand and Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in excess of 100 tournaments. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad beat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his career winnings are just about $6 million.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has earned 5 World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his successes coming in 2003. Has the nickname "Jesus" due to his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards quick enough to cut through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total live poker tourney winnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
